When conventional methods for lifting and moving heavy pieces are not possible, SRS Industrial Services offers Jack & Roll services. This service is a cost effective process of loading, unloading, moving and accurately weighing modules, and/or other heavy items up to 400 tons by use of custom load cells.
The state of the art Jack & Roll technology enables SRS to safely complete projects in almost any environment - from an operating plant in a city setting to the most remote areas of Canada. The equipment was manufactured with maximum flexibility in mind, so set up costs are minimized.
Jacks are inserted under the load and then hydraulically linked to a central Jacking pump. The pump ensures simultaneous pressure to all Jacks for an even and level lift. The Roll part is when the load is in the air, and has to be moved to another location, custom rails are inserted under the load and then skidded to second location and removed, again by Jacking.
This process is ideal in remote locations because often there are huge crane mobilization costs, the site is unable to facilitate a crane or the existing crane at the facility is insufficient.
